We recommend that you take the cable car to the top of the rock and use the guide to navigate the Nature Reserve.
The walk requires a return cable car ticket or you can buy a one way ticket and take the extended walk back.
Gibraltar is host to around 200 free ranging Barbary Macaques. Less than 15,000 now survive in the wild at the northern tip of Africa in Morocco and Algeria.
This is mainly due to deforestation and the capture of infants for the pet trade.
